Reporters, Wang Xi, the South African Ministry of Health reported on the evening of the 6th that there were 8,971 newly confirmed cases of coronary pneumonia on the same day, bringing the number of newly confirmed cases of coronary pneumonia in South Africa to more than 200,000, reaching 205721 cases, the number of confirmed cases of NCP is the highest in the African continent, with 3,310 deaths. As of June 6,45,973 new cases had been confirmed in South Africa, representing an increase of 159748 new cases in the past month. There has been a surge in new cases of pneumonia in South Africa since the government gradually eased the "blockade" against the outbreak in June. South Africa's Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and kwaZulu Natal Province, in particular, have been the "hardest hit" by the new outbreak.
